The Janus Gate™ upgrade is once again offered on all new molds and as a retrofit for your existing tools—compatible with individual cavities, modular monoblock designs, or large single monoblock styles.

Key Benefit: Faster mold assembly and reduced maintenance the Janus Gate™ significantly cuts mold assembly time. Its biggest advantage? It eliminates the need for tie rods to compress O-rings.

• On smaller molds (e.g., 6-cavity with a 3-inch centerline), managing tie rods is straightforward – typically compressing just 6 – 8 O-rings per tie rod.
• On high-volume tools for larger machines (30–45 inch wide die sets), the challenge escalates: 3 – 4 times more O-rings per tie rod create extreme internal stresses from opposing forces (O-ring compression vs. mounting screw pull-down). We’ve seen die sets actually bow under this load – hard to believe, but real.

Over time, tie rods fatigue and stretch, reducing clamping force on seals. This leads to leaks, sidewall corrosion in cavities, and costly downtime.
